Anyone who wishes to advertise a medical device in Thailand must obtain a medical device advertising license firstly.  In regards to this, Thai FDA had published a set of advertising specifications for medical devices that are exempted from having advertising license registration, for convenience of advertising.

1. Advertising contents that do not indicate the benefits, quality, quantity, standard, composition or origin of medical device which is false or exaggerated, in whole or in part, or has the characteristics of deceiving or concealment of facts, regardless of whether or not there is a use or reference to an academic report, statistic or any other exaggerated or false material, will be exempted under section 57 of the Medical Device Act B.E. 2551.

Medical device advertising which contains only Trade name, Trade mark or Trade symbol are also exempted to proceed advertising license registration. 

2. Medical devices complying under section 15, 17 and 19 of Medical Device Act B.E. 2551 and its amendment (No. 2) B.E. 2562, are obligated to proceed advertising license registration.

3. Others advertising specifications beside this announcement, shall comply with chapter 7: Advertisement of Medical Device Act B.E. 2551 and its amendment (No. 2) B.E. 2562.
