This document describes how to categorise products used in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and speech therapy. A product is classified depending on what it is designed to perform. The instrument, apparatus, implement, machine, appliance, material, or other similar or related products that meet the description of medical devices in rehabilitation, physiotherapy, or speech therapy. Certain rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and speech therapy products may not be classed as medical devices.

 

There are a few highlighted changes made in this revision:
