It provides a constructive handling and coordination of a business by continual improvements in effectiveness and efficiency. NMPA has organized and revised the “Guidelines for the Compilation of the Annual Self-Inspection Report of Medical Device Quality Management System”, which has been promulgated and shall come into force on May 1, 2022. The Guidelines for the Compiling of the Annual Self-Inspection Report of Quality Management System of Medical Device Manufacturers issued by NMPA (No. 76 of 2016) previously shall be abolished at the same time.

One similar thing about the medical device registration process in Taiwan and Japan is the documentation of the Quality Management System that must be registered with the local regulatory authorities before a medical device can be sold in each market.
