Indonesia’s Ministry of Health recently published the new Omnibus Health Law, which was ratified in the Plenary Session of Indonesia’s House of Representatives held on August 8, 2023. This law was confirmed to be numbered as Undang-Undang (UU) No. 17/2023, which replaced previous Health Law No. 36/2009.

The latest Health Law aims to transform, enhance, and accelerate the development of Indonesia’s health services industry for all societies across Indonesia. With the enactment of this health law, it is expected that new regulations and laws related to health, including medical devices and healthcare, will be issued in the near future.
