On October 17th, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare announced an amendment in the Japanese Standard for Sterilization Validation to meet with international standards. JIS T 0806-: 2015 (ISO 11137-1: 2006, Amd. 1: 2013) is now abolished and JIS T 0806-1: 2022 (ISO 11137-1:2006＋Amd 1:2013＋Amd 2:2018) becomes the new sterilization validation standard.
The grace time of compliance for this amendment is given until October 16th, 2023.
