The list includes goods items that have been identified as medical and managerial equipment under the provisions of the Government's Decree No. 36/2016 / ND-CP of May 15, 2016 on the management of medical equipment and Circular No. 30/2015 / TT-BYT dated October 12, 2015 of the Minister of Health regulating the import of medical equipment and other legal documents on medical equipment.
The list of medical equipment defined with HS codes issued together with this Circular is the basis for organizations and individuals to make customs declarations when exporting or importing medical equipment into Vietnam.
In case, the medical devices have not defined HS codes on the list enclosed with this Circular, the customs declaration shall be made according to the actual description of the goods and the list of Vietnam's export or import goods. After clearance, organizations and individuals shall send documents to the Ministry of Health (the Medical Equipment and Project Department) for coordination with the Ministry of Finance (the General Department of Customs) to consider, update and issue additional list.
It takes effect from July 1st, 2018.
